Goyder Residents Taking Positive Steps to Health & Wellbeing

51 Goyder residents reaching from Bower to Hallett, and many towns in between, completed Councils self-rating questionnaire 'Steps to Better Health'

Council in 2016, which identified mental health as the number one priority for potential intervention within the region.

John Carrangis, Councils Environmental Health Officer said “the booklet resource was developed to help people in the Goyder Community identify areas (such as mental & emotional wellbeing, family & friend connections, transport, nutrition etc.) of current needs, as well as providing vital contact details for local services and support groups”

Council has a range of free resources available from the Burra & Eudunda Council Offices including;

-          Your Health & Wellbeing Matters

-          Finding the right balance in life

-          Reduce Anxiety

-          Improve Wellbeing

 "Council is committed to ensuring we have a well-resourced, active and connected community” John said.

Residents who completed the questionnaire before 30th June had the chance of a winning generous accommodation prize. Congratulations to Ashlee Patty of Eudunda who the lucky winner of two nights’ accommodation in North Adelaide, kindly donated by the Comfort Inn Regal Park.
